| General Hugh Mercer Monument, situated in the center of Washington Avenue just west of Kenmore. General Mercer was a resident of Fredericksburg during the time Kenmore was built. He owned an Apothecary Shop several blocks to the east, which still stands today as a museum. General Mercer died in January 1777 of wounds received during heroic action at the Battle of Princeton. | DSC_0033.JPG |
